BG&E Resources (BGER) had the pleasure of connecting with students seeking a career in engineering at Engineers Australia’s ‘Elevate’ 2024 Careers Expo, held in Perth.
With over 200 engineering students and graduates in attendance, the event was all about building connections, sharing insights, and exploring the diverse opportunities in the field of engineering.
Our involvement aligns with the launch of BGER’s Graduate Program and follows our participation in the Curtin University Careers Expo. It was an exciting opportunity to meet the next generation of problem solvers and showcase our offerings to students in their final year of study and recent graduates.
BGER offers a range of opportunities for students pursuing careers in mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, process and chemical engineering, geoscience, and coastal and marine science, among others.
Representing the diversity of our disciplines, BGER attendees at the Expo included Sam Thorniley, Finley Macpherson, and Ola Malek.
Sam Thorniley is a Mechanical Engineer who joined the business as a Graduate. Since then, he has been pivotal in delivering innovative technical solutions to our clients and taking on project engineering roles. Sam’s dedication and ability have made him a standout member of our team.
Finley Macpherson is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer and an example of a bright young professional who joined BGER as an Undergraduate Engineer while completing their Master of Professional Engineering. Finley is a talented problem solver with a passion for driving the transition towards a clean energy future.
Ola Malek is an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer currently completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Since joining BGER, Ola has been an asset to our EIC team, diving headfirst into a diverse range of projects. She continues to shape our solutions with her drive and ingenuity.
BGER encourages undergraduates to join the business and pursue work experience with our teams, as this will provide an engaging, supportive and interesting learning experience, as well as a preview into a potential future career.
