The operations at IPL’s Kooragang Island facility include the storage and dispatch of fertilisers, sulphuric acid and ammonium nitrate. BG&E Resources (BGER) were engaged by IPL to provide the detailed designs of multiple heavy vehicle wash facilities to assist with EPA requirements on site.
The scope of work was developed around the effective containment of IPL products on-site. This included truck wheel wash/wheel bath design, tie-in with existing drainage and sumps, swept path analysis and risk management of existing operations.
BGER delivered the scope across multiple disciplines including civil, mechanical and electrical. BGER also provided on-site construction support to assist the client with effective project delivery.
