Surface Water Assessments at the Bald Hill Lithium Mine

We were engaged by MinRes to complete a surface water assessment for the 2024 operations expansion mine plan, at their newly acquired Bald Hill Lithium Mine in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

This assessment involved characterisation of the existing environment, identification of potential surface water impacts as a result of the proposed expansion, and a hydrological risk assessment including recommendations for mitigation measures to reduce potential impacts.

2D TUFLOW modelling was used to produce flood mapping for the baseline hydrology and proposed mine plan, including scenarios with and without mitigation measures.

BGER is currently also engaged to complete an options assessment of surface water mitigation options for future mine planning purposes.
